'Tis The Season...

Every year I wait eagerly for the 1st December to arrive. Why? Because the 1st December is a very special day in our household... it is the day I can officially start decorating the house, playing Christmas carols and baking yummy goodies. This year was no different. Tuesday morning I made my way up into the attic and hauled all the boxes down. I swear each year it seems the collection has grown while in storage. I never remember packing quite so much away... but that has an upside too - I always have a few surprises when unpacking! Of course the first thing up is the Christmas tree. This process takes a good few hours. Sadly we don't get the beautiful live trees of colder countries, so I am faced with the very tedious task of unfolding all the branches one by one. But, in spite of an hour long hunt for the tree lights, I have a wonderful time and this is the result:

Next on the decoration list is the famous Christmas Village! This is very time consuming and I often find that I need to do it in stages. I particularly need a nice little break after untangling all the cables - let's just say I'm not the most patient person in the world. But I love the end result. I can sit for ages just gazing at the little town I've created; imagining what's going on and what conversations all the little people are having - yes I'm crazy!

So in honour of this special time of year I have changed things up a bit with a new Christmas template. And below are some pics of the tree ornaments I got while in London. Until next time, Happy Holidays!!!

Lemon Meringues

London Days

Hello! So I said I'd update while away. Have been having a blast here! Making sure I partake in a few cultural adventures and of course continue to take "Scrapable" pics. Went to Regents Park with my sister and her doggies, where I was able to take some pretty ok pics (will post a couple below for your viewing pleasure). Have also managed to hunt out a scrapbooking/stamping shop near the museum - of course I had to have a browse and ended up buying more than intended (when don't I though?). 

The weather's turned a little dismal - wet and cold - but there is something about rugging up in jumpers, scarves and coats that I love! Everywhere is getting ready for Christmas now too; the Selfridges & Co Christmas windows are awesome. I have to admit that there's nothing quite like a cold (white) Christmas. I love Christmas regardless, but nothing beats a warm fire glowing with stockings hung up on the mantle and a fresh Christmas tree glistening. Yes, there is something truly magical about Christmas that makes me all giddy inside.

I'm Back!

Hello Hello!

Yes it has been a while indeed. No real reason except life has got rather busy of late. So right now I am sitting in the lounge of my sister's house in London and decided to upload some more pics for your viewing pleasure. This page is another of Miss C. The photos were taken when she was about 3months old - so a little while ago now. I used the Making Memories "Animal Crackers" range which I think is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE! This layout is one of my faves, but then it could just be because I'm particularly fond of the little girl in the pics. Hope you like it! Will try and do some regular updating of my adventures while hanging out with my big sis.
